Cynthia Weichelt is an attorney and committed community activist living in CD6 with her husband and three children.
Following a long career in entertainment post production technologies at large studies and as a business owner, she changed course and became an Attorney. Having worked at both Neighborhood Legal Services and Public Counsel, Cynthia remains committed to supporting community member who have been functionally deprived of legal access.
From 2010 - 2016 she was an elected community representative on the board of the Lake Balboa Neighborhood Council, serving as the board president for 3 years. In 2014, she was appointed to the Los Angeles Innovation and Productivity Commission by Nury Martinez, City Council member for CD6. Cynthia continues to work on strengthening community voices and fostering access to local government and legal process.
