The Department of Transportation (DOT) seeks to reduce the number of parking citations issued for street cleaning violations by implementing the Clean Street Parking Notification System program. According to DOT, the City issues approximately 650,000 street cleaning violations per year, the highest for any citation in the City. Through this project, residents can subscribe/unsubscribe to receive a notification when a street has been swept, informing the subscriber when the street is available for parking and reducing the risk of receiving a street cleaning parking citation. DOT states that this service will be accessible through the City's website and its MyLA311 app.
